1. Martin Solveig is really really awesome.

He posted this beautiful live recording of “The Night Out,” available for download on SoundCloud. It sounds like magic and falling in love.

He also held down the first ever in house DJ spot at the MTV Movie Awards last night, Reuters. In the works are mash ups of some of cinema’s most iconic scores and additional performances from The Black Keys, Wiz Khalifa and fun.. Well done, MTV, but that still doesn’t excuse the constant loop of terrible television you’ve inflicted on the planet.

2. America’s Best DJ List Announced

So you can vote now for your favorite American DJ and enter for a chance to win prizes. The list isn’t perfect, DJ Pauly D is on it (This is your fault, MTV), but overall, it’s a solid list. Unfortunately, you can’t vote for Kaskade because he’s too awesome or something. The contest doesn’t permit a winner to be nominated 2 years in a row, but I’m sure the current American DJ champ is okay with that.

3. Daft Punk back in the studio

Awesome.

4. Skrillex & Wolfgang Gartner “Devil’s Den” Music Video

This week in really weird unofficial music videos, we have “Devil’s Den” in which a satanic dream orgy takes place in a newlyweds mind. From girls with X’s on their nipples to small children kissing, there’s plenty to be disturbed and or aroused by. Whatever gets you going, kids. Except not kids. That’s illegal. And gross.

On a slightly more serious note, it’s actually very cool and very well done. Slightly pornographic, but amazing editing.

5. Zedd loves Coachella.

Zedd put out a short video of Coachella which includes bits of his set, scenes backstage, etc. which essentially proves that he is the most adorable man alive.

6. Adventure Club feat. Krewella “Rise & Fall”

It starts of with Krewella’s perfectly poppy vocals in a lovely ballad like build accompanied by a poignant piano melody. It’s pretty chill. Basic beauty.

But then two minutes in it’s like WOOOOMP WOMP WOMP WOOOOMP. So, obviously I love it. The juxtaposition of those sweet and barely belted words, “with your arms wide open, we rise and fall,” with this unapologetic viciously deep bass creates an untouchable twisted dream state. This one is a must.

7. Quintino & Moti “Kinky Denise” Coming Soon

While I haven’t found a release date for this track, the internet assures me it will be out soon. It’s kind of like “No Beef” meets the beat of “Pon de Floor” so obviously it makes you want to jump and shake it like a salt shaker.

8. Sensation White coming to NYC this October

Next Friday at 12pm EST, you’ll have a chance to score tickets for New York’s very first Sensation White, an event made famous for its strict dress code of all white and “intense [interactive] experiences.” It will also be the second chance I get to wear my high school graduation dress. Excellent.
