Track Review – Tom Fall: iROK – Releasing Monday June 4th, 2012
Finland native Tom Fall has taken the EDM scene by storm being one of the ‘Newest Talents’ to watch with his energizing, bass-thumping sounds. Tom Fall has experimented with music since the age of 10 having taught himself how to play guitar merely by watching his brother and later teaching himself audio production at the age of 16. He has sorted through the depths of music only to find himself mesmerized by the sounds embellished in the world of electronic dance music. The now 27 year old Tom Fall has mastered his technical abilities bringing to his fans an electronic sound so vivacious and probing. Tom Fall collaborated with Ben Nicky recently to give us the hit “Hammer” which certainly hit the ears like a hammer, and now Tom Fall does it once more bringing us his newest electro-tectonic creation “iROK” said to release on June 4th, 2012.
Tom Fall’s sound is constantly evolving bringing together his love for electro, pop, trance, and techno to create a bold sound that motivates through multi illuminated depths of melody. “iROK’ is a powerhouse track packed with lots of synth, unparalleled alteration of tempo and an incredible drop! The buildup of “iROK” starts off giving you a sense of ‘electro-meets jazz’ hearing a little saxophone over 135 BPM of effects and drum. “iROK” is topped off with a Robot voice repetitively saying ”iROK’ over an instrumentally synthesized bass-hearty buildup. The peak of the buildup is dressed with multi-interloping sound scaled effects over an electro-drum beat, still with instrumentals intertwined into the melody. Tom Fall’s drop for “iROK” is full of FX-bass, that progressive scratch-effect our ears know and love, and a siren inspired key-tone to deliver a dynamic electro-house tune. This track is structured with vibrant, energizing sound that is sure to get your feet off the ground. Be sure to buy your copy of iROK available today on Beatport!
