Rivera transported his well-known Miami Juicy Beach party far north to Governor’s Island in New York last Saturday. If you were there you heard him drop this new mix of In the Morning featuring pop singer, and Queens native, Wynter Gordon. Gordon is no newbie to the world of EDM, previously working with producers such as Guetta, Aoki and the colossal Laidback Luke. Released on Black Hole Recordings on July 23rd, this version of In the Morning is way pop house meets electro house with a simplistic melody and a really familiar dance structure, almost similar to the way Calvin Harris produced Rihanna’s We Found Love. It’s a radio-friendly song for the mainstream crowd and all their friends to get down to, while still bringing a pulsing club-friendly beat. Whether you approve or not, EDM has reached the masses.
