When two legendary names in trance such as Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten come together for a collaboration track, the end result is expected to be nothing less than dynamic. I feel that Markus & Ferry’s newest collaborative masterpiece, “Loops & Tings” goes beyond dynamite! “Loops & Tings” carries all the essential components of a golden track assertively set to blow listeners minds from opening build through the jaw-dropping close. Markus Schulz vs Ferry Corsten, two tremendous top of the line competitors worked together for an ultimate outcome intended to “WOW”. “Loops & Tings” has certainly blew away listeners as this tremendous progressive trance track reached #1 on the Beatport Trance Chart as of August 8th, 2012. Going back to April when the track was first introduced to our ears, the collaboration was voted as the number 1 song during the 8-hour long Ferry Corsten’s radio show celebration for the 250th episode of Corsten’s Countdown.
“Loops & Tings” starts off with a steady 132 bpm composed of EFX and a dominating electric bass-drum that feels as if it’s driving into your spinal system. As the beat progresses, a two-tone, or C-minor piano keys chime in stimulating the meter of “Loops & Tings”. This track was so well crafted to firmly grab hold of our attention. The beat unwaveringly progresses around 42 seconds in with EFX and solo-instruments and then the around 1:30 the main tempo drops and a build filled with C-minor grooves captivate our sound-senses. Well played by Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten as this steadfast 132 bpm melody with it’s progressive chords carries listeners through various, powerful levels of sound. “Loops & Tings” is such a powerful and amazing track that has gained global recognition and appraise from the trance community and with great reason.
