Track Review: Markus Schulz – Caught (Tritonal Club Mix)

Caught

Although it has been over a week since I was front and center for Tritonal’s killer opening at Governor’s Island, their newest creative effort takes me right back to the sweaty tent of Governor’s Island. Tritonal definitely have an excellent energy as a performing duo and as producers, so it is always great when a new release has their name on it.

This remix brings out the best of both Schulz and Tritonal. It builds up gradually, as soon many Tritonal tracks do before kicking in at full energy. I really enjoy how Tritonal bring in different sounds into their remixing, a certain amount of electro energy seems to pulse through this track. Adina Butar covers the vocals on this track and her beautiful voice seems perfect for the track. My only disappointment (albeit minor) in the track does come from the drop. It seems to rely a little too heavily on progressive house in my opinion.

At the end of the day, I think the original mix does this track more justice, although I like the Tritonal remix for its own reasons. Make sure you check out the track and if you love it, pick it up on Beatport

Also, don’t forget to check our review of the original track, here.
