Track Review: Hardwell & Showtek – How We Do (Original Mix)

Hardwell and hardstyle geniuses, Showtek, did not leave any of the filth at home when it comes to their newest single, “How We Do.” If this is ‘how they do’ they do it hard. The track builds through infectious synths and pumping drums before the vocal sample cuts through. From there, the mayhem of the drop takes over with an absurdly hard-hitting synth line. Although the track lies somewhere between electro and progressive house, the work of Showtek is apparent throughout the song. The sounds of the synths in the drop and the pounding drums are reminiscent of a Showtek track. Showtek has been on fire with recent collaborations and Hardwell is the perfect DJ to compliment the Showtek sound. “Hell Yeah!”, the Showtek collaboration with Tiesto, is easily one of the biggest tunes this summer. Released today on Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings, this hard hitting track is sure to be a prominent track throughout many DJ sets for months to come.

The official video, also released, will leave you feeling one of two ways; having EDC Las Vegas withdrawals, or wishing you never missed EDC Las Vegas.
