Track Review: Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero – Sparks (Original Mix)
Seasoned producer Fedde le Grand recruited young buck and fellow Dutch DJ Nicky Romero came together to conceptualize Sparks, an upbeat progressive house jam with electro house tendencies. Collaborations are nothing new to the world of EDM these days, but it seems there is a trend lately for veteran DJs to work with promising up-and-coming producers. And it’s certainly a trend I’ve come to love. Beatport released the original mix of Sparks exclusively on July 16th through Flamingo Recordings, but we are anxiously awaiting the vocal mix featuring Matthew Koma’s beautiful voice; it’s absolutely killer. As if anyone was unsure about how much we loved Matthew Koma vocals, it was solidified with the vocal edit of Sparks.
Up and coming DJ & Producer who was recently highlighted on our SoundCloud Sundays feature, Johnny Tremz was able to put our favorite vocalist and new favorite song together in a new bootleg of Fedde le Grand & Nicky Romero’s Sparks with the Matthew Koma vocals of Spectrum. A Spectrum of Sparks is definitely an unexpected yet solid blend of the two tracks, and we’ve had it on repeat since Johnny released this on SoundCloud.
