Track Review: Eddie Makabi – Eargasm (Main Room Mix)

In trance music, there is often a golden track that deserves its own spotlight, separate from artist albums, remix packages, bundles and B-side releases. Armada Music is sharing some exclusive secret remixes on the ‘Armada Exclusive Tracks & Remixes 2012 Volume 4′ pack with listeners. Volume 4 of the series introduces us to brand spanking new remixes and previously unreleased originals, and I am here to highlight one of these exclusive tracks. Eddie Makabi – Eargasm (Main Room Mix) is a tremendous 9 minute trance track that gives listeners every essential trance component for an all around musical masterpiece.

Eddie Makabi – Eargasm (Main Room Mix) is a dynamic extended trance remix to Eddie Makabi‘s already phenomenal original track “Eargasm”. Properly named ‘Eargasm’ because it creates just that upon listening, ‘Eargasm (Main Room Mix)‘ starts out with an alluring progressive build that by the second, adds effects, solo instruments such as balearic EFX drum, and what sounds to be a flute fluttering so eloquently in our ears. Around 1:07, the build gets really deep letting our musical senses understand that something powerful is coming. A few seconds later the current existing effects and instruments are complemented by a darker, deeper sound-bar so captivating to our senses as the flute perfectly lifts the emotional tempo of ‘Eargasm (Main Room Mix)’. I feel that there are three major builds in this track; post the opening build, the second is highlighted around 2:24, changing levels around 2:38 with a familiar heart-pounding progressive-trance sound followed by a light, yet powerful drop that holds our attention for the remainder of 9+ melodious minutes. Creating a completely perfect 9 minute track is an exceptional art that many artists cannot masterfully do, but Eddie Makabi truly delivers a beautiful, uplifting trance track complete with key trance elements from start to finish.

Despite the undeniable fact that I love the Eargasm (Main Room Mix) all around, my favorite part is the peak build beginning around the 4:20 mark (don’t laugh..!) with its effortless release so moving and euphoric, it truly sends me into ‘A State of Trance’ upon every listen. ‘Armada Exclusive Tracks & Remixes 2012 Volume 4″ and ‘Eargasm (Main Room Mix) is available now on Beatport.com and will be released August 24th, 2012 on all other music portals.
