Track Review: Alex Gaudino ft. Taboo – I Don’t Wanna Dance Out on Ultra Records
Alex Gaudino’s new single “I Don’t Wanna Dance” follows the trend of fusing pop and dance music, popularized by David Guetta. The track features Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, and has an infectious beat that sounds as if it could be sampling Madonna’s “Sorry”, but confirmation proves us otherwise! If that’s not enough pop for you that I don’t know what is. Nonetheless, “I Don’t Wanna Dance” is sure to be a club and Billboard chart hit as it can get the whole room moving.
Alex commented on the collaboration: “I met Taboo at a festival in Spain where we were both DJing. We hit it off immediately and decided we wanted to work together. I sent him a beat and he wrote the verses and got Taio Cruz to write the hook. Amazing. I went to his home studio in LA to finalize the track and the atmosphere was magical. It was like we’d known each other all our lives and the creative buzz was awesome.”
As Alex mentioned, Taboo has also become a DJ who is working on his debut solo album. Known for his Italian disco, Alex Gaudino is no stranger to collaborating with pop stars as his 2011 release “What A Feeling” with Kelly Rowland received substantial airplay worldwide. “I Don’t Wanna Dance” is available now on Ultra Music. The single is the first in a series of singles that will be released in anticipation of his full-length LP, which is due out at the end of the summer.
