Swanky Tunes – Blood Rush Available 9/3/12

Swanky Tunes hit the ground running with their new preview for Blood Rush. While it is undeniable that Swanky Tunes have been cultivating a unique sound for themselves over their last several releases, Blood Rush sounds eerily similar to their contribution on Tiesto’s Make Some Noise. The beat isn’t by any means exactly the same but it comes from the same birthplace: this apparent only because the collaboration so brilliantly blends the two DJs unique sounds while at the same time keeping them independent and pure.

Landing a track on Club Life Volume Two Miami is a big deal, and being part of one which is so obviously bad ass and a high point of the entire album is monumental. Obviously Swanky Tunes are going to play off the success of such a high profile collaboration in an attempt to increase their popularity, that’s just good business.  However, familiarity is not always a negative. Blood Rush provides a massive bass heavy hook that audiences can easily identify with. It’s clean, crisp, and simple enough for listeners to sing along to the beat.  Generating a delicious amount of irresistibly catchy energy Blood Rush has all the makings of a future hit and I for one am eagerly awaiting its release on Beatport September 3rd on Swanky Tunes’ Showland label.
