Track Preview: Madeon – Finale (Original Mix)

At only 18 years old, this kid just kills it. Hailing from western France, progressive house and electro-pop producer Madeon has been one of the most talked about up-and-coming EDM artists. And for good reason. He just kinda gets it. He sites EDM legends and fellow French DJs Daft Punk as a major influence, which is clearly distinguished in Finale. It’s a nice melodic song with a simply yet effective vocal track layered in, and intelligently. This track features the vocals of Nicholas Petricca from Walk the Moon, who tells us to “Brace Yourself”. I couldn’t agree more. This powerful track will definitely be a massive hit in the clubs and festivals. With a track of this capacity, we can’t wait to see what remixes begin to surface too!

If you were lucky enough to catch his performance at this year’s Ultra Music Festival or Coachella, you know he can spin as well. Who do you think would win in a fight? Madeon or Alesso? If it was a DJ bout, I’d take Madeon over Alesso in a heartbeat any day.

Madeon’s new single Finale is out everywhere this Sunday, July 22nd.

Not like its a big deal, but this song isn’t really considered in the tech house genre. Definitely in the Indie Dance / Nu Disco area.
