Steve Lawler was brought up during the acid house generation, infamously famous for being one of the first to throw underground motor way raves back in the early 90ʻs underneath the M42 motor way in the United Kingdom. He is surely an iconic veteran, recognized and praised by top industry artists and labels. No one dares to define his genre because we cannot; he gives every listener a little of everything that they need combing soulful house mixed with dark drum code, Latin house, and the ever-so-tweaky twisted techno. He brings the club scene back to what it should be: a large group of vibrant and energetic party-goers just looking to dance to great music surrounded by fabulous people! With a large array of releases & remixes signed to some of the worlds most established recording labels such as R&S Records, Systematic, Drumcode, Harthouse, Cocoon, MBF, OVUM, Sci+Tec, Souvenir, Boxer Sport, Be As One, Monique, Kostbar, Soma, Skint and of course his own recording label VIVa MUSiC, founded in 2006, he has defined himself in a category all his own. Some of his newest releases such as “Venerate” and the phenomenal remix to Shlomi Aber’s “Create Balance” have topped the Beatport and Billboard charts, delivering bold tech-house melodies topped with everchanging bars full of bass, drum, and effect. Being a chart topping veteran looked up to by many young artists, Steve Lawler shares motivation and support to artists he has introduced to the industry and features several on his albums and collaborations. He is praised by such artists: Reboot, Audiofly, Leon, Simon Baker, Plasmik, Livio & Roby, Davide Squillace just to name a few;  they will tell you all about the support, encouragement and opportunities Steve Lawler has given them.

Some of his newest EP’s such as collabo with Detlef “Audition”, the indescribable remix to “Decent Treatment”, along with  powerhouse 2011 album release of “Lights Out” just so prove how incredible Steve Lalwer is as a producer, artist, and chart-topping businessman. Steve Lawler is a culmination of every aspect of the dance music industry, bringing together aforementioned illegal raves, holding residency at super club Cream in the 90′s, delivering hit after hit and album after album of some of the most eclectically sophisticated multi-level dance music. Steve has remixed high profile artists such as Jamelia, Dido and Justin Timberlake and he has worked with many of the worlds renowned dance labels, executives, and venues. We love all of his mix series such as ‘Lights Out’,  ʻDark Drumsʼ, and most recently the ʻVIVaʼ series wich is now on its 3rd release. The ʻVIVaʼ series introduces us to a widescreen vision of Steve Lawler bringing together every bar, beat, and ensemble that Steve has ever touched, especially focusing on a lot of  down tempo and deep house. His VIVa Nights residency, where Steve Lawler played from OPEN to CLOSE at The End in London consistently sold out for its 7 years span, followed by his infamous residency at Londonʼs Home Club.
