Ticket Giveaway: Robbie Rivera & Friends Get “Juicy” in NYC with Made Event at Governors Beach Club 7/14/12

Made Event is proud to present the first ever Juicy Beach New York with Robbie Rivera & Friends at Governor’s Beach Club on historic Governors Island, NYC on Saturday July 14, 2012. For the first time ever the renowned EDM artist and founder of Juicy Beach, Robbie Rivera brings the juiciness out of Miami and into New York turning the heat up on Governor’s Island for a full on beach dance party. Careful attention has been made in the selection of a very JUICY lineup that reflects Juicy Beach’s particular programming policy while also indulging in New York City’s significant house music history. So fittingly EDX, Stefano Noferini, Paige, Sultan + Ned Shepard, and Manuel de La Mare will be playing alongside Mr. Juicy himself, Robbie Rivera. Juicy New York promises to offer a truly outstanding lineup to play alongside the New York City Skyline on New York’s very own ‘beach’ setting.

Robbie Rivera swept the EDM in the early 2000’s with monstrous chart-topping tracks that led to Robbie’s Juicy rapid uprising. The track that started it all was “Bang” which released in 2000, immediately making the number one spot on the United Kingdom dance chart. Not only was “Bang” an instant success, but it made it to several album compilations released for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, gaining recognition from MTV, Ultra Records and Top of the Pops. With a fast fame rising, Robbie Rivera started the Juicy Records Label, originally under Ultra Records with early productions like Robbie’s first album ‘Do You Want More?’ and first single “Which Way You’re Going”, both having reached the number one position on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs chart. In 2003 Robbie Rivera hit us with the unforgettable track “Girlfriend” which featured the captivating vocals of Justine Suissa and  the rest, well… is Juicy History!

Robbie Rivera along with his wife and business partner Monica, have been the driving forces behind the world-renown Juicy Beach party since 2005 which had originally started as an annual event during Miami’s Winter Music Conference each March, but it has now grown into so much more. Robbie host’s Juicy Radio which is a weekly radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio that is heard around the globe and now he is taking his Juiciness on a tour bus around the United States. This is the first time ever that Juicy Beach has left Miami so I know Robbie Rivera fans are in for an esteemed treat when Juicy Beach hits NEW YORK!

Robbie gave us a little preview of the Juicy Beach tour last Thursday, June 28th, 2012 when the EDM star did a live Broadcast at the Sirius XM headquarters in New York City. I was lucky enough to catch Rivera live in action, introducing listeners to some of the upcoming tracks found on Robbie’s newest album compilation, ‘Dance or Die’ out now on Beatport! He also brought us back to our youth with some classics like “Girlfriend”, “Float Away”, and a wild mashup of Violent Femmes “Blister in the Sun” into “Departures”. If Robbie’s live broadcast at Sirius reflects what is to come at Governors Island on Saturday July 14th, New York party-goers better be ready to dance their butts off! We can look forward to a Robbie Rivera set complete with favorite classics like those heard during his Sirius XM broadcast last week, in addition to several soon-to-be chart toppers from his new summer albumDance or Die, released just last month. ‘Dance or Die’ features some of the most highly acclaimed vocalists in dance music today including Wynter Gordon, Blake Lewis, Lizzie Curious, and Sue Cho. Robbie Rivera’s ‘Dance or Die’ album is available now on Beatport, iTunes, and Amazon. EDMinsider will have your full album review  too shortly! (Keep an eye out!)

If Robbie Rivera isn’t juicy enough for you, set to play alongside Rivera will be EDX, Manuel De La Mare, Stefano Noferini, Paige, and Sultan + Ned Shepard.  Italian native artist, producer, DJ and multi-talent all around, EDX entered the EDM industry in 1994 releasing several underground mix tapes that quickly surfaced around the globe bringing him to be in high demand for remix work in the late 90′s and 2000′s. He has been sprinkling his magic remix touch on tracks from artists such as Armin van Buuren, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Mary J Blige, Lauren Hill, Axwell, Armand van Helden, Laidback Luke, Funkagenda, and even Kool & The Gang. EDX remixes have hit the spotlight on Beatport, DMC Buzz, and Cool Cuts. He was also featured in the TOP 3 for Beatport’s Best Progressive House Artist of 2009 alongside Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz. 2010 and 2011, were his most promising years to date, but EDX music is only getting hotter in 2012! Joining EDX and Robbie Rivera will be another Italian born producer/dj, Manuel De Le Mare who is also known for his stagnant original releases and remixes, staggering the interests of global artists like Mark Knight, John Acquaviva and Feddle Le Grand who have all requested Manuel De La Mare to do work in their studios, helping this young talent to reign the Beatport thrown for ‘Best Remixer 2011’, a suitable follow up on his nomination for ‘Best Deep House and Techno Artist’ back in 2010. The popularity and fame of Manuel De La Mare continues to grow as he is already a familiar face at top world venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Space Ibiza, Fabric in Madrid, Womb in Tokyo, Amnesia Miami as well as Ultra Music Festival and Global Gathering. Now Manuel joins the multifaceted lineup for Juicy New York among some of the hottest talent in the EDM.

An artists whose expected presence on July 14th, 2012 overwhelms my joys is Stefano Noferini. Another Italian native known to have a golden touch when it comes to dance floor destroying tunes, Stefano Noferini is considered a long time asset to house music in all its forms. Stefano has been building his legend for some time, continuously innovating sounds and genres to deliver an eclectic sound all his own that merges several diverse musical elements into a brilliant sound experience that no one can match. Stefano Noferini played a pivotal part in the upbringing of Italy’s burgeoning house music scene with his national radio show which began in the early 2000′s and is still a driving musical force today. I have not seen him rock the streets of New York City for quite some time so news of his return warms my heart (and my dancing shoes!).  Also joining the Juicy New York lineup will be New York’s very own Paige who has traveled with and worked alongside major artists such as The Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Laidback Luke. Lastly, but certainly not least to finalize this Juicy New York lineup is Montreal’s own Sultan + Ned Shepard who have uncountable original releases praised by industry icons Armin van Buuren, Sander van Doorn, and Ferry Corsten, helping the fame of Sultan & Ned Shepard to grow as they are often heard on major radio shows including a State of Trance, Trance Around the World, and Corsten’s countdown. The lineup for Juicy New York cannot be compared to any other summer event this year as Robbie Rivera hand picked and delivered top EDM artists to fill all of our Electro, House, and Trance needs on Saturday July 14th, 2012 at Governors Beach Club. Limited Advanced Tickets Available so I suggest you get yours immediately!
