I hope everyone polished their dancing shoes because tonight we are going to be nocturne by one the newest and hottest EDM sensations, David Berrie A.K.A. ‘dBerrie‘. At just 24 years of age, David Berrie has hit the dance music scene like a wild brush fire with his distinct DJ and production style. dBerrie, or David Berrie as of recently, has taken progressive house and turned it into something all his own. With active synths and unconventional grooves, David Berrie delivers an energizing sound that lands somewhere in the midst of electo-progressive-house and fans can’t get enough! What pulled me into dBerrie music was hearing his wild take on Gotye’s “Somebody That I used to Know“ a few months ago while, of course, at Cielo on a Thursday night. The invigoratingly diverse, upbeat melody made my draw drop instantaneously – I hunted it on the internet as soon as I got home! Berrie has hit the EDM scene hard with anomalous tracks like “Behind the Front”, “Aztek”, “Quiet Room”, and “Underslang“, as well as released dynamic remixes for Gotye, Adele‘s ”Rolling In The Deep”, Foster The People “Don’t Stop“, and Jared Dietch’s -“I Want to Fly”, among many others. David has gained unconditional praise from major artists such as Fedde Le Grand, Gregori Klosman, and Deniz Koyu, and with great warrant. He is young, fresh, and produces a sound that the people love to hear. David Berrie is a rapid rising star and definitely a name to follow closely in the closing months of 2012 and beyond.
