Preview: Massive Event Pres. Summer Boat Series with DJ Eco, tyDi + More! 6/16/12
Massive Event keeps their title for hosting the best trance parties on the East Coast by presenting to us a Summer Boat Series kick off event with the fine tunes of New York’s own DJ Eco alongside the revered tyDi. Massive Event blew us away with an incredible boat party last summer in 2011 having graced us with the incomparable sounds of Mat Zo and DJ Eco and this year they are doing it again, serenading us around the New York Harbor with some of the most melodious and captivating trance music that we ever did hear.
Armin van Buuren publicly praised New York City’s own DJ Eco saying “Everything he touches is melodic gold”, he has been hailed by Martin Roth as “New York’s Uncut Diamond” and Eco is one of the newest high ranking additions to “the elite league of the upcoming young rebelling producers.” Marcello Pancheco, known to dedicated Trance listeners as DJ Eco has been sweeping the dance music industry since 2007 having kicked off his career with a phenomenal start with original releases like “Paradise Now” and “Light At The End”, but he truly hit gold when Armin van Buuren signed DJ Eco to the Armada Music label in 2010 shortly after Eco’s headlining performance at A State of Trance 450 in New York City. Having played piano from a young age, DJ Eco grew up with a passion for music being inspired by artists such as Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Arcade Fire, Royksopp, The Mars Volta, and several others, he was destined to become a master of his craft when he began playing around with audio engineering programs in High School. DJ Eco has come a long way since then providing loyal fans with the lifelong trance classics “Light At The End“, “Tonight Is Forever”, “Borealis”, and “Lost Angeles” which have all been named Tune Of The Week on Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show. DJ Eco has become a respected and admired household trance name having received accolades of support from Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Martin Roth, and more. DJ Eco’s sound is so intricately designed combining multi-levels of sound structure, instrumentals, and audio perfection. He is rupturing through the trance industry with releases on some of the biggest labels in the business, including Armada, Flashover Recordings, Tone Diary (Spinnin’), and Lunatique, and just last summer DJ Eco released his first solo artist album ‘M(you)sic’ which is an impeccably formulated LP that elevates your senses while sendin you on an empowering and emotional journey through trance. He has headlined A State of Trance 450, 500, 550, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, and this weekend he joins his hometown East Coast following for an intimate session at sea alongside the New York City skyline.
Playing alongside DJ Eco this Saturday June 16th, 2012 will be the classically trained and highly prized tyDi. With just a few short years of trance takeover under his belt, tyDi was voted Australia’s #1 DJ two years in a row, was voted ‘Best Breakthrough DJ of the World 2010’ by Tiesto, and released his first solo album ‘Look Closer’ at the young age of 19. tyDi grew up with music in his veins having been classically trained from the prestigious Conservatorium of Music. His melodies are superlative, intertwining synthesized syncopation’s and dynamic sound-bars to create highly recognized compositions like “Acting Crazy”, “Take a Chance” and “Greater Heights”. He, along with DJ Eco, are two of the youngest artists to brush through the DJ Top 100 List, both falling in the Top 50. tyDi delivers progressive trance tunes made to reach into his fans hearts and drive momentum and power to their feet. I know New Yorkers are extremely excited to hear tyDi play alongside DJ Eco this Saturday at sea under the New York City sunset.
Opening set on the main level will be provided by Brooklyn’s own Rory James who is a highly recognized name in New York City nightlife. Rory James has an extensive resume of renowned performances having headlined at Sullivan Room NYC, Pacha NYC, Highline Ballroom, and Tomorrowland 2011 thanks to dedicated fans helping him win a DJ contest in which Rory James outranked hundreds of DJ’s.
