Luciano’s Anticipated Return to NYC at District 36 4.21.12

Lucien Nicolet, or Luciano known to the Cadenza fans is finally returning to New York City for a much anticipated mind-blowing Saturday night performance and District 36 Nightclub. He is a co-founder of Latin House, a master of his craft and we have long been awaiting a Cadenza infused night like the one we are going to experience this week.

Luciano, a Swiss and Chilean commodore, has swept the Latin house scene since 1990, starting as a promoter of the famous Sensa Club and Encuentros con la Technocultura in Chile, turned DJ, turned master producer. His exotic background shines through his music giving us a deep, mystical blend of techno, electronic, and house that integrates prismatic elements of sound and melodic patterns. From upbeat Latin rhythms to mellow, experimentally minimal tempos, Luciano always delivers a powerful performance geared towards the more astute dance-floor residents. His sets heard around the globe in countries such as Spain, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Germany, Switzerland and the U.S. are so intricately formulated to eradicate any thought aside from that very sound heard in that very moment. Luciano brings us back to what a night in the club should be…Good vibes with good people who are listening to great music, that will make you dance nonstop. With compilations such as Pasando Una Puerta (released in 2002), Mirko Loko vs. Stacey Pullen “Tronic Illusion”, “Gipsy Q”, powerhouse collaboration with superstar DJ Loco Dice “Pimp Jackson”, and personal favorite“Maayancholy (Luciano Remix)”, it is no questions why Luciano is one of the most established and respected Cadenza members.

Who would have thought that Luciano’s adventure in music production began with a guitar given to him by his mother at age 16 in attempts to join a band. It wasn’t before long that he discovered that “you can replace the drummer with a drum machine”, and that is just what he did; soon he found himself in the world of electronic music.Lucien Nicolet, a.k.a. Luciano (Cadenza) has worked with world famous Latin house names Pier Bucci, Dandy Jack & Adrian Schopt, Atom Heart, Ricardo Villalobos, Angeniz Brito, Fabrizio Maurizio, as well as many others. He went from a small industry contributor in the 90’s to a world wide sensation making radio appearances and selling out venues worldwide. Luciano has released productions on Lo-Fi Stereo, Klang Elektronik, Transmat, Perlon Record labels in addition to, of course, CADENZA. He holds residency at the Weetamix Club in Geneva and he and the Cadenza crew captivate the Pacha Ibiza crowd with their famous ‘VAGABUNDOS’ residency every summer season.

His return to New York City has been long awaited and finally arrives this Saturday and superclub District 36. We can already hear the bold Latin beats in our heads and we look forward in anticipation to what this Saturday Night, April 21st 2012, has in store. Maybe a little Pirupa “Party Non Stop”….
