Preview: Deadmau5 Releasing The Veldt EP on June 25, 2012
The Veldt by deadmau5 is a perfect example of just how amazing Electric Dance Music really is and how anything is possible. On March 23, deadmau5 streamed a live 22 hour streaming session of his production of The Veldt on his page deadmau5 live (live.deadmau5.com) after being inspired by a short Sci-Fi story written by Ray Bradbury.
This wasn’t out of the ordinary since he turns on his live streaming quite frequently, allowing his fans a chance to watch him make his incredible music or simply answer questions while playing with Meowingtons, his infamous cat. Whatever it is, deadmau5 provides his fans with an interactive experience with him regardless of what he is doing, and one talented fan Chris James got the ultimate interactive experience. The day after deadmau5 made The Veldt, an amazing calming, progressive harmonic melody he was being swarmed on Twitter with tweets from his fans eagerly informing him to check out a vocal version of his unfinished production on SoundCloud. When he heard it, he loved it and reached out to the vocalist Chris James instantly, saying that it was incredible and that he wanted to release it and vol-ah, The Veldt was created. This beautiful uplifting melody contains soothing instrumental repetitions that deadmau5 himself said would be nothing without Chris’s vocals. Both the production story and the final product of The Veldt is a great symbol of just how amazing the EDM world really is. Deadmau5 will be release The Veldt EP on June 25th, containing remixes of The Veldt as well as his new tracks Maths, and Fallbait, featuring Cypress Hill.
