Preview: BT Brings the Beats to Exchange LA with Lange & Audrey Gallagher
BT, Lange and Audrey Gallagher hit LA nightclub Exchange this Friday, May 25th and the combination could prove itself quite poignant. The electronic legend, BT, has one of the most diverse track records with genres ranging from pop to electro and everything in-between. He’s responsible for the classics, “Flaming June,” “Love Comes Again (with Tiësto)” and more recent greats, “These Silent Hearts (with Armin van Buuren & Christian Burns),” “Tomahawk (with Adam K)” and “In the Air (with Morgan Page).” BT has just released his mix compilation Laptop Symphony and his next few albums are right around the corner. He has teamed up with Christian Burns to form a band called “All Hail The Silence,” in which there is album coming soon. Additionally, BT has plans to release two solo albums; Morceau Subrosa and If the Stars are Eternal so are You and I. And just when you thought that was too much awesome, BT also has a forthcoming unnamed followup to These Hopeful Machines with a tentative release date of Summer 2012. With so much experimentation in the dance scene, will LA see a genre-bash of immense proportions or will classics be revisited for quite the reminiscent evening? Expect a journey that is never static and always evolving into something richer with depth.
Lange dished out his Harmonic Motion album two years ago. Since then, he’s been responsible for a large catalog of originals and remixes that stretch across numerous labels and their respective genres. From “This Is All Out (Lange Mashup)” to “Stadium Four” with Andy Moor, Lange is always toward new material. His February collaboration with Audrey Gallagher “Our Way Home” is just one of the many examples of how much range he can truly exhibit. Audrey is responsible for vocal smash, “You Walk Away (with TyDi),” the hate-to-love-it “Big Sky (with John O’Callaghan)” and the progressive uplifter “This Night (with Filo & Peri).” A cunning songstress and catching lyricist, Audrey has been selective with her dance contributions but the few that are provided are tunes of remembrance in their own right. With support from local favorite Kristina Sky, the evening will surely bring sets that will be compliment one another in incredible fashion.
