Music Video: Knife Party – Centipede (Original Mix)

In what can be summed up as Dick Tracey meets dubstep, Knife Party’s latest video is more like a delightful neo-noir horror short disguised as a music video. Complete with mutant centipedes, a mysterious lady in red and a suggestive shadowy setting, it’s clear this video strives for cinematic power. And power it delivers.

Elliott Sellers directed this tangle of insects and flames in a perfect marriage of vision and sound. The effects this myriad of womps can have with provoked seizures and screams is seriously stunning. Much like Skrillex’s “First of the Year (Equinox)”, the editing and camera movement distorts to compliment the moment’s horror and the subject’s terror and agony.

It’s quite the thrill.
