Music Monday: 2 New Kaskade Mashups

Recently recognized as the #30 DJ in the World, as voted for by the DJ Mag Top 100 poll, Kaskade has been making Monday’s suck less since 1995. With his ‘Kaskade Music Monday’ uploads on SoundCloud, we are given downloads as presents from the Freaks of Nature curator. Always highly anticipated, we have been rewarded lately with Kaskade Mashup’s that we have been listening to throughout this summer’s Kaskade sets.

Today one of my personal favorite Kaskade mashups has been released for free download. The classic Love Mysterious track 4am has been reminding us throughout the years that ‘there’s a way’ and the soothing vocals seem to surpass the test of time. In the past, I have heard 4am mashed up with various songs, but nothing seems to have the same effect as Hard Rock Sofa’s Quasar. First introduced to this mashup during his iconic (week 2) Coachella set from this April, the bass heavy Quasar set the Sahara tent into a frenzy as the first drop came through right after the Dada Life remix of Llove. Since Coachella, Kaskade has been playing this one throughout his Freaks of Nature tour over the summer and it doesn’t seem like it’s getting old any time soon.

With this week being a ‘double dose’ of Kaskade’s Music Monday, we are always delivered with another unforgettable mashup. Kaskade collaborated with songstress Skylar Grey to create ‘Invisible’ earlier this year, a track that shed more mainstream light onto Ryan Raddon. The hit song Invisible, when mashed up with Thomas Sagastad’s 5am, comes together for a progressive house ballad with guitar riffs and feel-good piano melodies. Although the words of the song don’t exactly come across as positive, we are positive that these two songs together make all of the Freaks of Nature dance.
