Mat Zo Joins The Language Tour with Porter Robinson + The M Machine
Electro rebel Mat Zo has been hard at work dropping singles and getting ready to rattle skulls all over the U.S. His latest single, “The Sky,” is available exclusively on Beatport. Zo’s latest musical endeavor sounds like a motley crew of cirrus clouds performing at an outdoor circus that gets rained out by a steady flood of unicorn tears which are immediately dried out by the chanting of a thousand cheerful vuvuzelas.*
He also has posted this boomilicious mix for your pre-gaming pleasure (or whatever else you use SoundCloud mixes for).
This summer he joins Porter Robinson’s The Language Tour opening alongside The M Machine and, in terms of talent and creativity, there is hardly a better combo. The barely legal Porter Robinson kicked off the launch of OWSLA, the label founded by Forbes Celebrity 100 newcomer Skrillex himself, with Spitfire, a dirty mix of dubstep, moombah and complextro bangers. If he weren’t a DJ, he would not be old enough to legally enter many of the venues he plays at.
The threesome that comprises The M Machine (Ben Swardlick, Eric Luttrell and Andy Coenen, also of OWSLA) dropped their ambitious and highly praised concept album, The Metropolis Pt. 1, last month delivering electro indie art house beats that both defy any EDM formula while remaining dangerously danceable. And then there’s Mat Zo who, like several other young artists refuses to let genre theory constrain his musical vision, blurring the lines between trance, electro and progressive house to create harmoniously complex morsels of wonder.
This line up is not one to be missed. Check the tour dates below:

*In this context the sound of the vuvuzela does not possess the obnoxious death sentence quality it earned during the last World Cup.
