Music Video: Porter Robinson – Language (Original Mix)

The “Language” music video hits its first powerful climax with a flurry of lights during an underwater escape. While those flashes lead to a stunning mid point, it’s the emotional climax that hits home hardest. Directed by Jonathan Desbiens and released through Ministry of Sound, the video stays true to the elegant beauty and emotional integrity of Porter Robinson’s stand out track.

It plays out  in storybook fashion, evoking the sense of nostalgia and belonging we get from classics like Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are.  That beautiful semi-translucent giant reminds us that we all need a friend to catch us when we fall and help us fight those demons on our shoulder. Those are the friends that help us become brave for they teach us that even in the face off loss, we all will be okay.
