Insomniac Events Awakening Launch with Tritonal, Richard Durand, & More at Exchange LA

What has Tritonal, Richard Durand, Leon Bolier and Kristina Sky all over it? Your Friday night. Awakening Fridays event is kicking off this Friday at Exchange LA. Presented by none other than Insomniac, these weekly events will focus on providing Los Angeles with the best trance and progressive artists from around the world. If you’ve never seen Texas natives, Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed live, you’re in for a high-energy, can’t-keep-still, strain-your-vocal-cords, mashup-filled evening. Hot off their killer set at Electric Daisy Carnival, this duo has converted naysayers across the globe, seducing them with uplifting trance filled with sobering vocals and technically-jarring mixes. Tritonal are becoming household names around the globe; dedicated to their fans (they often release free tracks), down to earth (they’re exceptionally humble) and passionate (it’s all about the music), there’s no doubt the pair will be entertaining believers and non-believers alike for years to come.

Richard Durand is no stranger to traveling the world. He joins fellow trance gurus Tritonal and Leon Bolier for a night of what will sure to be filled with good tunes, summer vibes and diverse sets. Coming off his Verse the World EPs, Durand has the ability to make music for the club and for remote destinations. A few years ago, Durand was passed the torch by Black Hole Recordings to compile the annual In Search of Sunrise compilation after another Dutch legend, Tiesto. With In Search of Sunrise recently reaching its 10th edition, Durand takes his listeners down under to Australia. A plane ticket to Australia has a hefty price tag so if you’ve never been on a walkabout before, go to Exchange LA for your spiritual journey.

Resident Kristina Sky will be providing warm-up progressive sounds and special guest Leon Bolier will be doing just the opposite with his hard-hitting, synth-stabbing, high-volume trance tracks of destruction. If you’re having a difficult time deciding what to do Friday night, your answer is above.
