Event Preview: Watch out as LA gets its HARD on
LA is going HARD again for HARD SUMMER, part of the 6th annual HARDFEST. The EDM lover’s fantasy, HARD SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL electrifies LA State Historic Park in downtown Los Angeles for two days for over 30,000 people.
This year’s epic lineup has curated the sonic grooves of Little Dragon, Miike Snow and Bloc Party for Day 1 with a roster of bass heavy headbangers for day 2 including Skrillex, Nero, Bloody Beetroots and 12th Planet. For an idea of the killer vibe you’re getting yourself into should you choose to attend, check the fantastic LA adventure driven trailer below. Make special note of Dillon Francis as a manicurist because that shit is golden. Plus, Skrill’s mad cooking skills.
The stages are set up for maximal consistency. The complextro beats of the OWSLA boys will be Masta Blasted from their own tent on Saturday by the likes of Zedd, Dillon Francis, Alvin Risk, Birdy Nam Na, Nick Thayer and Huroratron. The dancey Discoteque stage, presented by Red Bull Music Academy will post up funky beats for both days with James Muphy, Brodinski, Booty Collins, Chromeo and more. Of course, what would HARDFEST be without the HARDER! stage. Headlined by Skrillex last year, who now has a place on the Main Stage, 2012′a HARDER Stage boasts sets by Datsik, Gaslamp Killer, Gesaffelstein and Erol Alkan. For more artist info and updates, check the HARDFEST blog here.
Tickets are still on sale here for $75 a day, $129 for a 2 day pass and $250 for a VIP pass. All tickets include transportation via the MTA. Check the teaser and schedule below, and get your ass over there. Let’s get HARD together!
