Event Preview: EDX at XIV Summer Sessions Los Angeles 7/1/12

The XIV Summer Series continues in Los Angeles this Sunday, July 1^st with house hero Maurizio Colella, aka EDX. The man responsible for hits such as “This is Your Life” featuring Nadia Ali, “Give it Up For Love” featuring John Williams and most recently, “Everything” featuring Hadley will take all guests aboard the “Love Xpress” as he joins the likes of Afrojack and Chuckie (among others) to play at this SBE event. Known best for incorporating infectious vocals and deep basslines, Colella has risen above the ranks of other progressive house producers and has been shutting down clubs for more than a decade. His latest album, On the Edge, which was released in January, is chock full of summer sounds, big room house vocals and lyrics of love. How does Colella manage to flirt with the mainstream dance sound so eloquently while maintaining his street cred? We’re not sure, but join us this Sunday to try to figure it out.
