Cedric Gervais is Looking for Molly at Pacha NYC this Friday 4.20.12
Cedric Gervais is looking for Molly at PACHA NYC this Friday April 20th, 2012. Originated in Marseilles, France and raised into the Paris underground scene, Cedric Gervais has been sweeping dance-floors worldwide with his catchy electronic tunes and house synthesis. His recent world-wide influence is the “Where is Molly?” Craze that has been heard in nightclubs worldwide and is being played by DJ’s from all over. Although causing some controversial conversations, Cedric’s search for Molly seemed to have been the theme of this past Miami Music Week as well helping to bring his original production to the No. 6 spot on the Beatport Charts.
Cedric’s musical inspirations have traced back to the young age of 13 when he was following the sounds of Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox, aspiring to play beside them one day. He was the youngest resident DJ to ever play at Paris’s legendary Club Queen; following that Cedric was invited to be resident DJ at America’s Riviera Club in South Beach Miami, where Cedric now resides. Cedric Gervais played a large role in bringing Euro hard/tribal house to the American dance scene and is a rarity as he has become a master of mixing as well as audio production. He swept the Miami dance scene in the early 2000’s holding a four year residency at South Beach’s most famous nightclub Crobar, and later hitting a career peak with residency at Miami’s Club Space, voted America’s Best Club Venue and Best Nightclub opening it’s doors to dedicated dancer’s and party goers with its 24 hour license. Now we are blessed to see Cedric perform all over the world at various Nikki Beach locations, Amnesia and Pacha Ibiza, Pacha Barcelona, Cavo Paradiso, and Papagavo’s in St. Tropez just to name a few.
In his early career Cedric Gervais brought us memorable, pulsating beats such as “Burning”, “Let’s Keep It Real” (released on Ultra Records), “You”, collaboration with Maurizio Ruggiero “Talking About The Revolution” (Hydrogen Records) which swept nightclubs around in the world in 2003, and his phenomenal track with Paul Harris and Mialond “Darker and Deeper”. Much of Cedric’s ongoing power-work comes from his inspirational collaborations with Steve Lawler, Tony Choy, Peter Rauhofer, Deep Dish and Dirty Vegas. He has even received recognition from Lenny Kravitz who asked him to remix his famous tracks “Stillness of the Heart” and “Believe in Me” which both held top ten spots in the Billboard charts over the course of four weeks.
We have been awaiting Cedric’s triumphant return to New York City as with his last visit he left us ‘house-fully fulfilled’ and dancing for days. The ‘Ready-to-Dance” party people at Pacha NYC can expect Cedric Gervais to deliver a drum-filled, thud-pumping performance with tracks like “Leave Me Alone” featuring Maria Matto, Federico Scavo and Scalambrin’s “The Cleaner”, and of course “Molly” beating through the bold sound system.
Will you help Cedric Gervais find Molly? The search continues Friday April 20th, 2012 at Pacha NYC…..
