Audien’s 21st Birthday Bash at Santos Party House NYC 1/12/13
I have been waiting to see Audien live ever since I heard Eventide released on Anjunabeats about six months ago. Audien really hit the ground running in 2012 releasing and remixing his way through the year. An East Coaster who has mastered the sound of progressive trance incorporating piano cords, airy beats and bouncy synths, Audien makes music that sounds like liquid gold.
Audien released the summer jam “These Are the Days” featuring Ruby Prophet on Armada Music and also more recently a harder track, that makes you want to jump around called “Sup”, which has been played on more than one weekly podcast. If I had my way, “Sup” would replace “Epic” as a mid-set “wake up” track.
In addition to Eventide, on Anjunabeats, Audien’s latest single, Wayfarer. will be released on January 14th. Wayfarer fits right in on the Anjuna label: uplifting, melodical, dreamy yet energetic. Keep This Memory is yet another Audien original to look out for this Saturday. Audien has produced all of these beautiful tracks before his 21st birthday. He definitely deserves a drink or two.
Pierce Fulton is another young superstar who just ended off his 2012 with an electrifying set at the Dadaland compound in Brooklyn this NYE with Dada Life. Fulton will be flashing his skills yet agai at Santos for Audien’s bash. Pierce Fulton has been a musician his whole life, playing the guitar for at least sixteen years. When he finally began producing electronic music and playing clubs it was all on his own accord, not being one of the tweens who had frequented teen night. Pierce’s sound can be described as hard, but melodic electro-house. It will balance well with Audien’s more trancey tune selection. Pierce’s Pardon My French EP launched him into a whirlwind of a college lifestyle, already having performed in Vegas, at Ultra and at Electric Zoo. Who Want’s Spaghetti another hit released a few months ago was his follow up to Pardon My French.
Check out some of the tracks below to get you ready for the weekend blow out!
